Call for Conference Volunteers – Interest Meeting
Monday, Feb. 4th | 5:00 p.m. | GWB 2.206

Black Studies at UT’s 2019 conference, “Black Studies at 50: 1968/1969,” will be held Thursday and Friday, March 14 and 15, and the planning committee is seeking volunteers for this event.
Featuring keynote addresses by internationally acclaimed author Edwidge Danticat and by Bradford Young, famed cinematographer for Ava DuVernay, Ron Howard, and Denis Villeneuve (among others), this conference will include 8 stellar conference panels on topics such as educational policy reform, community policing, Afro-entrepreneurship, and activism in Latin America and the Caribbean. We seek volunteers to assist with checking in and directing conference attendees, helping panelists prep for their presentations, venue setup, and logistics.

To volunteer, please complete the online signup form.

And plan to attend the volunteer meeting on Monday, February 4, 2019, at 5 p.m. in GWB 2.206.

We would appreciate your support!
